Dear VMC Families,
The morning and afternoon express busses will be maintained until the last day of exams. Students can use the cafeteria and library as study spaces between 8am and 4pm each day. Please note that students cannot loiter in the school. They must remain in these two locations unless they are with a staff member. Please also note that the last day of cafeteria services is Wednesday, June 5th, 2024. There will be no more service after this date.

may 21 - VMC HEAT WAVE tomorrow
Due to the excessive heat expected tomorrow (warnings indicate: feels like 36 degrees), please send your child to school with a refillable water bottle. Students will be able to wear their VMC Physical Education uniform (t-shirt and shorts) or house t-shirts or short-sleeve polo with regular uniform bottoms.
REMINDER that Friday is PINK SHIRT day! It's Quebec's first provincial day. VMC PINK t-shirts issued in any of the previous years can be worn.

Dear Parent (s)/ Guardian (s),
This email is to inform you that our school has extra COVID TEST boxes.
If you wish to receive a box, we kindly ask you to send your child to the office on April 24 -25. The tests will be disposed of after this date.
Please note they have an expired date of February 2024. As per HEALTH CANADA these COVID tests are valid for another two years after the manufacturing date.
Thank you and have a nice day!

Please be advised that the school was evacuated as a precaution today at 2:50pm. Students were permitted time to go to their lockers and get their materials for the weekend.
The fire alarm was activated by a basketball hitting the fire alarm. The fire department came and cleared the building.

Personalized invitations will be sent out this afternoon to parents and students if teachers have requested a meeting. Parents will only be able to book an appointment with teachers who have requested them. Maximum 10 minutes. All other bookings will be deleted.
An open invitation to parent-teacher interviews will be sent Friday afternoon. Parents will be able to book five minute appointments with teachers.
Parent-teacher interviews are ONLY offered online for this session.

• The Pedagogical day scheduled for Friday, March 15th will now take place on Monday, April 8th.
• Friday, March 15th will be a regular school day for high schools. It will be DAY 6 at VMC to replace the day of the cycle being lost in April.

Tomorrow is the final day of classes prior to the break. It is a regular school day with activities planned for the afternoon (periods 5, 6 & 7). We would ask you to report all absences by 8:30am on the Mozaik system rather than calling the school. Due to a lack of personnel, the main office will not be able to handle the normal volume of calls and will restrict its activities to assisting students.
Additionally, a reminder that early dismissals (ED) must be reported prior to 8:30 am. After 8:30 am no early dismissal will be accepted. Do not call the main office to request an ED, please enter it in the Mozaik system prior to 8:30am.
If you cannot access Mozaik, please call the school to make your report as it is important that all absences and early dismissals are verified.
We hope that everyone has a restful holiday and we will be ready to greet you in the new year. Happy holidays!

Tomorrow is the last day to make you donation of goods. Give generously! Our holiday lunch proceeds will be donated to feed the hungry. Any student that has takes part in the holiday lunch from the cafeteria tomorrow will make a donation of 4$ OR two canned goods as payment. Regular cafeteria service is disrupted tomorrow. Lunch cards will not be valid.

On that day, classes will begin at 11:00 am instead of the usual start time. We have made arrangements to ensure that students can be at school in the cafeteria as of 10:40 am, where they will be supervised until classes begin. Once classes commence at 11:00 am, the rest of the day will proceed as normal, with all regular activities and lessons taking place.

Happy to announce that we've moved back in and are ready to welcome our students (see previous email included below).
There is still some work that needs to be completed prior to students' first day of classes on Friday (e.g. removal of partitions in front of the bathrooms), but otherwise we've received the all clear to return, including confirmations regarding our air quality. The school building is safe and secure.
Looking forward to seeing everyone after the summer break and meeting our new students.
Please complete the health form attached prior to Friday's first day of classes.
