We’ve decided that you diminutive race is not even advanced enough to become our slave therefore; we’ve decided to obliterate you. Your attempts to save you planet are worthless . . . don’t even bother . . .

They have now come to attack us. We, the world protection agency have hired a group of 20 engineers to construct a mechanical being to stop them. Their weakness . . . tennis balls. V.M.C. (Vicious and Malicious Cyborges division) . . . the safety of the world rests in your hands.

MISSION 1

“And then there was R.O.S.A”

Our general has briefed you on the matters at hand we expect great things from this group. We’ve given you all the parts necessary however many more will be needed for this operation to be a successful one. Look at the parts, understand them and unleash their full potential. Get organized, plan your every move, we need this weapon finished A.S.A.P. We will need firepower a launching mechanism, make plans, blueprints and prototypes. The first part to this extremely difficult task is to invent some sort of launching system. We will need drawings calculations and many tests to improve the firepower. Remember tennis balls are deadly to them. WPA is expecting some results soon considering the world’s safety at this time.

We want Project R.O.S.A (Robotic Object to Stop Aliens) to be the most successful weapon ever made. Make it as powerful as possible, we shall need it.

MISSION 2

“A Tank is born”

All right privates, you’ve succeeded with your first mission. Unfortunately, many more remain. However, this one involves a lot more thinking instead of the usual hands-on action. Project R.O.S.A. requires a launching mechanism, so you discussed on possibilities for this actual mechanism. Many ideas have come to thought. At first, the use of fast spinning wheels propelled through a tube can give enough power to launch the ball fast and far at the aliens, therefore terminating them immediately. An example of this is a ball launcher at a batting cage. Unfortunately, you came to realise that it would require a lot of energy to operate, and with the budget we have, it will not be possible. Then you have come up with the idea of a spring launching mechanism. The only problem with this is how long the spring must be in order to propel the ball the distance we want. Therefore we decided that we would go with an air-pressured mechanism. This will give the distance and power we want and it won’t require a lot of energy to operate. Now what I want you men to do is to start building a prototype for Project R.O.S.A. Something small yet gives the ability to determine the final look. I know it may seem like a lot of work, therefore I’ve given you a task that’s fun and easy to do. I want a logo to be designed by your team. Design something that describes us and makes us proud, something to intimidate the enemy.

I know your team can do this job fairly well. I also know that your team can succeed for next week’s mission as well. The alien threat is growing, the world’s fate rest in your hands.

MISSION 3

« On amènent des Renforts »

Il est maintenant le temps pour votre troisième mission. Le WPA a décider que de l’aide serait nécessaire pour compléter ce projet. Alors nous avons décidé d’appeler Capitaine Rococo pour nous aider. Nous l’avons appelé parce qu’il a beaucoup d’expérience vu qu’il a déjà été dans l’armée. Il est très informé au sujet des armes. Nous avons des bonnes nouvelles de notre mission hier.

Nous avons capturé deux Xiablians sur le champ de bataille durant le cours de la journée. Ils ont essayé de s’enfuir mais nous avons désactivé leurs fusées a gravite et les ont attrapé.

Maintenant parce que on a cet avantage ont peut les étudier les extra terrestres. On avait aussi reçu un autre message à propos extra terrestres.

MESSAGE 2

Nous, les fort Xiablians ont étudié le forme de communication de français et maintenant on peut vous parlez en deux langues. On a reçu d’information que vous essayer de nous arrenter avec un robot. Sa vas pas fonctionner, on est trop fort pour être battu.

Ça va être terrible si les extras terrestres vont gagner cette bataille. On doit gagner cette bataille pas juste pour nous, mais pour toute l’humanité.

MISSION 4

“NOUS SOMMES PRÊT”

Ok les gars nous sommes prêts pour commencer la construction du robot. Pour vous aider on a aussi reçu un modèle du vaisseau spatial des Xiablians et on avait trouvé des défauts qu’on peut utiliser à nous avantage.

MODÊLE 1

Le petit cercle est le défaut qu’on a trouvé. Si on met de la force sur cette partie on peut ouvrir les portes de leur vaisseau et on peut l’attaquer avec les bals de tennis. On a aussi reçu une autre message des Xiablians.. . . Ils ne sont pas content que nous avaons trouvé quelque chose d'aussi important.

MESSAGE 3

Est-ce que vous penser que vous est intelligent a trouver quelque chose come ça. Maintenant qu’on sait que vous avez trouve notre défaut on peut l'ajuster. Maintenant vous avez absolument rien pour nous faire peur.

Par contre, il ne sait pas qu’on avait attrapé 2 extras terrestres et qu’on a trouvé qu’ils sont affecté pas les bals de tennis. On peut gagner si on essayer.

MISSION 5

“The time has come”

All right you slumps, the time has come for a prototype. I am sure that the mentor assigned to you was useful. I’ve received the report form Private Rocco informing me of some changes which were though to be necessary. From what I have understood pneumatics will not aid us in this mission, that we shall be using . . .

Your attempts to save yourselves are pitiful. Do you honestly think that a race as pathetic as yours can defeat the mighty Xiablians? It’s only a matter of time before our army arrives to take over your planet . . . and you cannot do anything to stop us.

Those dam aliens they’ve hacked our social networks, but how . . . Men I shall keep this brief the work done so far has shown outstanding potential however if we are to beat the Xiablians we shall need even more. We need to start doing firepower, speed and control tests. However the most important is making sure it is strong enough to penetrate the walls of their mothership. The test our medical techs performed on the captured specimen has show that one was more sensitive to black tennis balls while the other one was more sensitive to yellow ones.

MEDICAL INFO 2

At the moment we have 2 Xiablians which we are conduction many medical exams on to find more weaknesses and critical points. They both seem to have different pigments deficiencies and we are trying to figure out how you can use this against them.

We’ve decided to put a colour sensor in the robot in order to use the coloured tennis balls as effectively ass possible.

MISSION 6

“La Derniere tâche”

Ok les gars on doit finir la construction du robot. Les Xiablians vont attaquer dans les prochaines journées. Si le robot n’est pas fini ils vont nous tuer . . . tout l’humanité. . .

Un autre message? Ok, on doive finir ce robot dans 11:47H. Le temps est vraiment important et il n’y a pas de temps pur des erreurs tout doit être parfait. Les gars tout la terre, toute l’humanité est dans vos mains. Vous devriez les protecté. Je sais que nous n’avons pas beaucoup de temps mais je crois dans vous autre.
