ADMISSION POLICY AND PROCEDURE
FOR SECONDARY ONE
2012-2013
 
Thank you for considering Vincent Massey Collegiate.
 
Please return the following:
1. The completed Application Form
2. Non-refundable $40.00 exam registration fee (cheque payable to: Vincent Massey Collegiate)
3. A copy of the Grade 5 report card (June 2011)
4. A copy of the Eligibility Certificate for English Language Instruction in accordance with Bill 101
5. A copy of the student’s Birth Certificate
 
N.B. Please have the principal fill out the Recommendation Form and return it directly to Vincent Massey Collegiate.
 
Deadline: Friday, October 28, 2011
The above documentation and results of the entrance examinations in English, French, Mathematics and Reading Comprehension will determine acceptance. Please note that there are only 150 places for Secondary I students and that the entrance examinations are the most important aspect of the acceptance procedure. Students must bring a HB pencil, and an eraser.
 
Secondary One entrance examinations will be held at Vincent Massey Collegiate on:
 
Saturday, November 5, 2011 at 8:30 a.m.
 
Please note that this is absolutely the only day that the entrance examination will be administered.

Deadline: Monday, January 30, 2012
 
Requirements:
1. Completed Application Form
2. Non-refundable $40.00 examination registration fee
(cheque payable to: Vincent Massey Collegiate)
3. A copy of the latest and previous year’s report cards
4. A copy of the Eligibility Certificate for English Language Instruction in accordance
with Bill 101
5. A copy of the student’s Birth Certificate
6. School Principal must complete the Recommendation Form and return it directly to
Vincent Massey Collegiate.
 
Criteria:
1. Entrance examination in English, French, Mathematics and General Aptitude
2. Report Card
3. Principal’s Recommendation
 
Examination Details:
Date: Saturday, February 4, 2012
Time: 8:30 a.m. sharp
Location: Vincent Massey Collegiate
Bring: HB pencil, an eraser, a dictionary, a Bescherelle, a geometry set (sec 4 only), and a calculator (non-graphic).
N.B.: This is the only date available for the 2012-2013 Entrance Examination
